This position is within our Central Therapy Department, offering you the opportunity to support various units within our hospital.

In this role you will:

  • Assess, develop and implement occupational therapy treatment interventions utilizing sound clinical reasoning and evidence-based practices
  • Collaborate with interprofessional team to develop comprehensive care plans, transition planning and engage in patient education as required
  • Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) in the delivery of Occupational therapy care plan
  • Actively participate in team meetings to support patient care activities such as daily huddles, team rounds and family meetings.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in alignment with college and hospital standards
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required

Job Requirements:
Mandatory
  • University degree from a recognized Occupational Therapy Program
  • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills
  • Demonstrated satisfactory job performance and attendance history
